We are very lucky that so many Divas choose to travel literal hours for a Divine Divas Boudoir experience… But you may find yourself asking, WHY?
Why are these women choosing to drive, or fly, for hours when they could just go to a Boudoir experience nearer their home? Well, we could tell you ourselves… But, we thought it may be powerful for a handful of those Divas to tell you why themselves!

How long did you travel to come to Divine Divas?
I flew over from Northern Ireland; the flight took around an hour, but getting to my hotel from my place was around a 5 hour trip!
Why did you did decide to travel that distance instead of going somewhere else?
I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and be somewhere new to me; I wanted to push myself to do things for ME and not just for other people. Flying to Bath was a get experience and I can’t wait to fly solo again!
How was your Divas experience? What would you say to someone weighing up a Divas experience against a longer drive?
I absolutely loved my Diva experience ☺️ . The girls made me feel so welcome and put me at ease; the photographer was amazing and helped me shape myself in ways I couldn’t dream of. The photos just speak for themselves too! 🥰 I absolutely love it and I want come back again when I’m further into my life’s journey!

How long did you travel to come to Divine Divas?
I drove three hours to get to you.
Why did you did decide to travel that distance instead of going somewhere else?
I decided the travel would be worth it for several reasons. The quality of the work I viewed on the website spoke for itself, and I could see that an individual approach to each woman was important. But more than that, the website and blogs, and every contact I had from initial emails to discovery calls, made it feel like Divine Divas was the right ‘fit’ for me and gave me the confidence to do it.
How was your Divas experience? What would you say to someone weighing up a Divas experience against a longer drive?
My experience was… so many things! Uplifting, exhilarating, confidence-inspiring, and a whole lot of fun! It was absolutely worth the travel to be in such safe and skilled hands from the moment I reached the door. Divine Divas is so much more than a photography studio, it really is a full and fabulous experience provided by a special bunch of people. Having done it once, I’d happily travel further if I needed to.

How long did you travel to come to Divine Divas?
I live down in deepest Cornwall. Right from my first contact with you everyone I spoke to was so warm, welcoming and lovely. I looked at a couple of other studios nearer to home but didn't feel'it', that sense of being a part of the whole Diva experience
Why did you did decide to travel that distance instead of going somewhere else?
I'm lucky my son lives in Bristol, I stayed there the night before, not telling him or his wife where I was off to for the day. Meeting the team in person was amazing ...big hugs, time to put my anxieties to rest and meeting my daughter in law later to tell her all about it.
How was your Divas experience? What would you say to someone weighing up a Divas experience against a longer drive?
The experience was amazing, arriving with a scrubbed face and a bag of props. I was a bag of nerves. Sitting down , having tea and talking through the day was great.... although I did feel a bit self conscious in mands at lunchtime in my full Diva make up, false eyelashes and all!!
It turned out to be everything I'd hoped for, an adventure that I have a lasting reminder of.

I live about 60 miles from the studio!
Why did you did decide to travel that distance instead of going somewhere else?
There is a similar studio that is less than 3 miles from my house but Divine Divas came highly recommended and I liked the online community we have on the group. I also felt quite ‘safe’ following my initial call with the team.
How was your Divas experience? What would you say to someone weighing up a Divas experience against a longer drive?
For me, it was a day that I will never forget - I went in really uncertain and felt quite vulnerable but I didn’t want to experience to end. I am sure I grew a couple of inches taller by standing more confidently.
I laughed so much during the photoshoot and could start feeling the confidence building. I was suggesting trying out different poses by the end of it!!
The screening part of the day was amazing! I sat in a room with some lovely pictures on the wall and I was wishing I would look as good and confident. When the reel started showing on the screen, I wondered why I was being shown someone else’s photos and by photo three, I just squealed ‘that is me!!!!’ Poor Jo had to restart the reel since I completely missed the first couple of photos (and then I promptly burst crying)
I have a photobox and love love love the photos. They mean empowerment and strength to me. I am bipolar and can suffer significant anxiety and going through the photos certainly reminds me of what I can do so it has been very therapeutic to me.
I am considering repeating the experience soon and would still travel to Divine Divas since I have complete trust in the team and my vulnerability became a strength not a weakness when I was with them.
The journey back home from the photoshoot was fantastic - I was in such a high, smiling and listening to music singing along - I took the scenic route back just to prolong that feeling! 🤦🏼♀️

How long did you travel to come to Divine Divas?
My travel time was around 2.5 hours total (Harrow to London, London to Bath).
Why did you did decide to travel that distance instead of going somewhere else?
When I saw their ad on instagram, I checked their profile and really liked their shots. I saw other studios before but it was theirs that stood out to me. Their initial call to me felt special. I don't know how exactly to put it, but it's like I found exactly what I've been looking for. That's when I knew that distance don't matter to me, I would gladly come to them. I honestly could not think of any other people taking my photos. Just from the calls, I know I am well taken care of by their team. Apart from that, I think distance made me commit to it even more having to book train tickets and alloting my whole day for it.
How was your Divas experience? What would you say to someone weighing up a Divas experience against a longer drive?
The Divas experience still feels surreal, even until now. I have been talking about it to my friends and family, and they all are amazed with the artwork. Even I could not believe it's me! The Divine Divas truly brought out this spark and beauty out of me. The longer travel, in my opinion, has made it even more memorable. The journey going there and not knowing how it would turn out made it feel like a mini adventure for me and my friend, which we both love (we saw an actor in the train with us!). It made us anticipate even more, and me feeling all the emotions was thankful to be stuck in a train, so I could not turn back. I think driving / travelling longer for something like this makes the experience even more special because you would really have to commit to it. You would have to allot almost a whole day, book tickets, etc. I do not view this as a hindrance at all rather a small side adventure (especially if you're coming to Bath for the first time!) to mentally and emotionally prepare for your big day. Bonus if you have a companion who would hype you up on your way there 😉. So just do it!

This is my second experience with the Divas. I absolutely loved my first experience, and I feel comfortable with the Divas team so wouldn't dream going anywhere else!

My Divas experience was amazing start to finish. From the initial phone calls right the way through. I was nervous but immediately felt as easy with the team. I felt like I was on cloud 9 for the day, even after the shoot. When it came to seeing the final outcome..... I was blown away! The photos looked incredible, I looked incredible! I'd highly recommend Divine Divas! They are all amazing, down to earth, incredible people and they will honestly make you feel at home and you will not be disappointed.

I drove 105 miles each way - about 5 hours in total.
Why did you did decide to travel that distance instead of going somewhere else?
I saw the Divine Divas boudoir experience advertised on Facebook. I had wanted to do this for a long time and I just loved the look of the pictures from DD. I knew it would be a bit of a drive but I thought that I wanted to do this experience with the right people. I had a phone call from DD to talk about the boudoir experience and what I wanted and I loved the vibe of the conversation. It was all very fun and very natural. I liked the idea of a real experience where you would get to speak to different people and they’d found out about what you were looking for in this photoshoot so it felt very personal and I felt very listened too - and that hadn’t happened in a long time.
It was also lovely to have phone calls with the different people who’d look after me on the day and everyone was very attentive to what I said I wanted. With all the different style of boudoir experiences to choose from at DD you really have what feels like truly you. All this made coming for the day less daunting.
How was your Divas experience? What would you say to someone weighing up a Divas experience against a longer drive?
I Ioved every minute of it - I had lots of laugh and fun - I felt beautiful in a way I never really felt before and the team were amazing at helping me feel this way. I stayed within my feminine power for days after this. It was one of the best experiences of my life to be honest. A bit like a wedding day but much better as it ends up in a fantastic memory (just been recently divorced here 😂).
I did the experience twice and probably will do it again - second time was even better as I had no worries at all coming back a second time. I think this is the kind of experience where you really need to connect with the people who work there to get what you want from it, so if it feels right for you when you get in touch with the DD team then go for it! You can even make it into a proper pamper time with booking a hotel and exploring Bath. After all some people travel miles and miles for a 3 Michelin star restaurant so why wouldn’t you want to travel to get the best experience for a photoshoot? It’s going to stay with you forever.

I decided to travel so Divine Divas instead of going somewhere closer because, all the staff seemed incredibly friendly when speaking to them on the phone, very reassuring and helpful they listened to everything I had to say and went above and beyond expectations.
