Why did Ruth book her Divine Divas boudoir portrait experience?

I decided to book a boudoir photography shoot after I lost 3 stone in time for my 50th birthday and decided it was time to make time for me as I was in the menopause. I started working out and swimming and wanted to celebrate the new me.

Ruth braved a ‘bum’ shot and she looks amazing.

I first came across Divine Divas on Facebook. It took me about a year until I booked, when my husband of 33 years bought me a boudoir session with them.

The makeover was great. I never wear makeup so it was nice and natural. I loved the false eyelashes…a first time for me.

Before the shoot I felt fairly calm until I discovered my photographer Jesse was a man! I was really nervous at first but Jesse was lovely and I soon began to enjoy it. It was totally not me to be doing this sort of thing!!! I felt elated that I had done it and I wanted to do it all over again!

I found viewing my images even more nerve wracking than the photo shoot. I loved my images but still felt a bit self conscious to see myself in those poses!!! I’m very pleased with my portraits. I ordered a large wall art, some digital files and a slideshow of all the best images. The big one is on the bedroom wall.

Having done a boudoir shoot with Divine Divas I feel more self assured and more proud of my body despite being 54 this November.
